The brief:
To update two small old-fashioned bathrooms in our second home without the need to project manage the work.
The experience:
One of the most useful things about Exclusively was to see all the mock-ups of kitchen installations and bespoke bathrooms in the showroom. They are much easier to visualise, compared to looking through brochures. In fact, we poached their ideas!
Both our bathrooms were very small. We thought all we could do was replace the sanitary ware, putting it all back in the same places. The result was so much more creative: to remove the bath completely from one room and install a spacious walk-in shower, while the other room has a very lovely, but tiny, bath which looks great in the small space. They are perfect solutions.
As this is a second home, we couldn’t have had the work done it if we had had to oversee and coordinate various workmen ourselves. Exclusively really will do everything; we literally handed over the keys. I felt very comfortable them to get on with it. It was an invaluable service for busy people or second home owners like us, and I would certainly recommend it.
Result:
A walk-in circular Daryl shower enclosure with limestone tiles and fittings, plus a well-proportioned compact Victoria & Albert Ios bath installation. Catalano Sanitaryware & Grohe brassware.
Expect to pay around £13,000 for a similar complete shower room installation.
